Coach Chris Campbell

Chris Campbell is our head coach. He comes from a family of competitive swimmers and swam in college at Northwestern. Chris is an avid Masters Swimming competitor, specializing in middle and long distance freestyle and backstroke. Coach Laura Schuster

Laura Schuster is a triathlete who has swum with MVM over the years and is now an assistant coach. Laura's enthusiasm and desire to make MVM the best, most fun masters program in the Bay Area is a fantastic addition to the coaching staff. Laura is on deck 5-6am Mondays and Saturday mornings.

Coach Misa Misa Sugiura swam in high school (New Trier HS in IL), college (Princeton University in NJ), and on a Masters team (Nishinomiya People in Japan) before moving to California in 1995. She found MVM in 2001 and has been here ever since. Her favorite stroke is backstroke and her favorite distances are short. When she's not at the pool, she enjoys cycling, reading, writing, and hanging out with her husband and two sons.

Coach Dale Jackson

Dale Jackson came up through the swimming ranks to become one of our assistant coaches. With a strong multi-sport background, Dale brings a special triathlon focus to our distance freestyle workouts. Dale also provides insight to fitness, health, and diet for our team. Dale is on deck Saturday mornings.

Coach Bob Stenz

Bob Stenz is our ever-reliable substitute coach. Bob, who swims in our fastest lane (the "Shark Tank"), excels at IM and Freestyle. With his extensive knowledge of all four strokes, Bob is a huge help on deck every time he coaches and a great demonstrator of proper swimming technique when in the water. Bob is on deck Saturday mornings and as a substitute when needed.
