Alcatraz Swim: There is a rumor that a few people plan to do the Alcatraz swim but haven’t signed up yet. The deadline to sign up is three days from now – September 1st. For all those interested you still have time. The swim is September 12th. Click here to register.
On another note: A group of MVMers are doing a practice swim at Coyote Point in San Mateo this Sunday, the 30th. We are meeting in the Coyote Point parking lot around 12:45pm. That’s an optimal time to swim as we are trying to catch the high tide. This is an informal event but feel free to join if you want to do a swim in the Bay before you do Alcatraz. Or if you are in the mood for an invigorating, salt water plunge. Either way, come join the fun. It’s $6 per car. Let me know if you are interested and I will do my best to get you in touch with anyone else who is going.
