Weekly Email – April 3

Hi MVMers, here’s the latest:

Annual Member Meeting: As per our bylaws, this weekend we hold our annual member meeting for you to review our financial report and approve the slate of our all-volunteer board members.
Below, you’ll find links to an update from our outgoing president, a financial report from our treasurer, our 2026 budget, and a link to vote to approve our board. You can review them at your leisure, but please vote before 9pm on Monday, April 7. Thanks for participating in our meeting, and keep on swimming!
President’s Letter – Year in Review Annual Report from Treasurer 2026 Budget and February Financials Vote on MVM slate of directors

Swim ‘n Schmear: Join us on the Eagle Pool deck tomorrow, Saturday morning, for Swim-n-Schmear! The materials pertaining to the above links will be on deck to review in hard copy form, and some board members will be present in case you have any questions.

Happy Hour April 16th: Upcoming social event/happy hour will be at St. Stephens Green on Castro Street in downtown Mountain View on April 16th 5:30pm. Click here for more info about the venue. MVM will pay for appetizers. Hope to see you there.

Free woman’s bathing suit: We have an MVM swimmer that ordered a woman’s TYR swim suit that doesn’t fit. It’s brand new and can’t be returned or exchanged. Click here to see the suit. Let me know asap if you are interested and I will connect you with our generous swimmer.

Two Etiquette Reminders: A couple of items have come up lately. One, if you are leading the lane then please lead. For example: swim on the agreed upon interval, swim the workout, wait for swimmers. If you are wearing equipment that makes you appreciably faster than others in your lane then take that into consideration. Two, if you arrive, late do not expect swimmers already doing the workout to stop and explain the workout to you or where they are in the workout. Check with the coach before hopping in to ensure you enter the workout seamlessly and cause the least amount of disruption as possible. Thanks for helping to make the workouts enjoyable.

Happy Swimming, MVM
