Weekly Email – October 8

Hi MVMers,

Pool covers are back: The City of Mountain View will have covers put back on the pool in the evenings starting tomorrow (Friday). If you are swimming the first workout this Saturday morning then please arrive 10-15 minutes early to help pull the covers. Pool will be covered for the foreseeable future.

Coaches Appreciation! We love our coaches! On Sat, October 10th, we’ll have a special Swim-n-Schmear dedicated to our amazing coaching staff! Please join us in thanking them on deck with bagels and coffee, plus any tokens of appreciation you may care to give. We’ll be at all 3 workouts.

This year, we’re creating custom bouquets. We will have a vase for each coach: Al, Jordan, Flo, Misa, Liz, Tina and Kevin. Drop a flower in your favorite coach’s vase, or leave one for each of our 7, and they will go home with a beautiful floral arrangement. Any flower is welcome: store bought, backyard grown, or wild.

New workouts:: Our three new workouts are: Monday and Wednesday mornings 8-9am and Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30pm. We hope you take advantage of them. At some point the board will make a decision to continue them based on attendance.

Happy Hour October 22nd: In the spirit of Oktoberfest, our upcoming social event/happy hour will be at Das Bierhauz on Castro Street in downtown Mountain View on October 22nd 5:30pm. MVM will pay for appetizers. This will be our last monthly happy hour until 2027! Hope to see you there.

Board meeting: Our next board meeting will be held on video this coming Tuesday, October 13th staring at 6:30pm. All MVM members are welcome to attend. Here are the links: Google meet link. Agenda.
