Coach Ryan’s Main Sets for 200s – Part 1

Written in order of difficulty with the easiest first. For each set, keep the stroke the same for the entire set, or at least the entire round, if the set has multiple rounds.
If you think these look hard, just wait for part 2…

Main Set #1 – a shorter set
4 rounds:
100 strong
2 x 50 FAST
pick intervals which give you only a little rest
take extra rest to catch your breath between rounds

Main Set #2 – broken 200s with a challenge at the end
200
2 x 100
4 x 50
8 x 25
200
descend effort by swim
last 200 should be the fastest

Main Set #3 – broken 200s
4 x 50
100 + 100
100 + 2 x 50
50 + 100 + 50
2 x 50 + 100
ALL FAST. take 10 seconds at each breakpoint in each 200.
Take extra rest between each 200.
