Weekly Email – 5/30

Hello MVMers, I hope you are all having a nice Memorial Day weekend. Here’s the latest from MVM:

Carpool to Lake Berryessa: This is a beautiful open water swim and not too late to enter. Date is June 4th and an MVM group is going. If you want to carpool, meet in the Eagle parking lot (Church Street) no later than 6am. Feel free to bring a lunch and goodies as there may be a cooler in one of the cars. I’m assuming some food will be available at the swim as has been in past years. Here’s the link if you want to check it out: https://www.clubassistant.com/club/meet_information.cfm?c=1741&smid=14332

Happy Hour: Here is our happy hour/social event for June. It will be at the Sports Page – https://www.sportspagesf.com/index.html. There is outdoor seating. Address is 1431 Plymouth Street, near the Mountain View theaters. Date is Tuesday, June 14 at 5:30ish.

Swim meets: If you enjoy swim meets then let me know. I will start a separate (special interest) email group for those who are interested.

Pac Masters Schedule: Here is the link if you would like to see the summer schedule. There is a mix of swim meets (in pools) as well as open water swims. https://www.pacificmasters.org/pacm/schedule

Textedly: In case of emergency we have a way to send a mass text to all MVMers but you have to opt in. If you want opt in then reply to me and I will put you on the list. We rarely send mass texts but if, for example, the pool is shut down unexpectedly then we can let you know by text.

Last workout reminder: It is important that all swimmers are out of the pool by 8am on weekdays and 9am on weekends. When the pace clock hits 00:00 then we all have to be out of the water.

Pool cover reminder: If you are swimming the first workout of the day please come 10-15 minutes early to help pull covers.

New members: Last but not least, we have had a lot of new swimmers join in the past few months. Welcome to MVM! Feel free to reply to this email if you have any questions about the team. There is also a lot of information about MVM on our website. https://mvm.org/

Happy Swimming, MVM
