Fishsticks!

Hi MVMers, it has been a long time since I sent out a Fishsticks. For those of you who are new (or may simply have forgotten), Fishsticks is a “get to know your fellow MVMer” write-up. I am going to try to do one a week and my goal is to eventually get to the entire team. (Don’t worry, it’s strictly voluntary.) Today it is Lou Dietz.

Where were you born? St. Louis, Missouri

Where did you grow up? St. Louis, where I was briefly on a swim team in my grade school years.

Where did you go to school? I came to the Bay Area to go to Stanford in 1982, and I’ve lived in Palo Alto and Mountain View ever since then.

What did you do after finishing school? I had a long engineering career in biotech and medical diagnostics companies in the Bay Area.

What is one (or more) fun fact about you that we wouldn’t know? I’ve been a small airplane pilot all of my adult life, and for the last five years I have been making my living as a full-time flight instructor at Palo Alto Airport. My wife and I are building an airplane in our garage.

Thank-you, Lou! Would love to get a picture of your airplane when it is finished.
