Hi MVMers,
Pool Closure Coming Up: It was recently discovered that the main pump at Eagle Park Pool is beginning to fail. Unfortunately, repairing it will require a temporary closure of the pool, as the pump must be removed and taken off-site for repairs. The city already has a vendor, and the necessary parts so this repair can begin soon. As a result, Eagle Pool will be closed from Monday, Aug. 11 through Monday, Sept. 1. The city is putting together a temporary schedule that relocates MVM to Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center during this three-week period. While the schedule has not been announced yet, the city has asked MVM for flexibility with program times, permit hours, and lane access. To recap: we will be swimming at the Rengstorff Pool during the closure at Eagle. Thanks for understanding. We’ll keep you posted when we get further information.
Splash and Dash is back: A very fun open water swim right in our backyard. If you’ve never done an open water swim this is a great one to start out with. It’s held at Stevens Creek reservoir and the water temps are usually quite warm. Maybe not as warm as a swimming pool, but close. Check out the link here. Date is August 7th.
Happy Hour: Quick reminder for our MVM Happy Hour July 23rd at Agave starting at 5:30pm. No sign up necessary – just show up with your appetite. Click here to see their website. Address is 194 Castro Street in downtown Mountain View. Hope you can join!
Coaches Clinic: This coming Saturday, July 19, Coach Misa will conduct a beginning butterfly clinic. Clinic starts at 8am and is free to all MVM members. No sign up necessary.
MVM Alcatraz Swim: Don’t miss the epic (and famous) Alcatraz event. The swim will be on 13th September 2025. The cost is $210/swimmer. If you have questions about the swim ask one of the MVM coaches. More info and the signup link on our site here.
