Weekly Email – September 30th

Hi MVMers,

New workouts coming!: We are adding three new workouts: Monday and Wednesday mornings 8-9am and Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30pm. This is a trial to see how they go. Workouts will start in October, which is next week. This is all possible because the coaches are putting in extra hours for us.

Coaches Appreciation! We love our coaches! On Sat, October 10th, we’ll have a special Swim-n-Schmear dedicated to our amazing coaching staff! Please join us in thanking them on deck with bagels and coffee, plus any tokens of appreciation you may care to give. We’ll be at all 3 workouts.

This year, we’re creating custom bouquets. We will have a vase for each coach: Al, Jordan, Flo, Misa, Liz, Tina and Kevin. Drop a flower in your favorite coach’s vase, or leave one for each of our 7, and they will go home with a beautiful floral arrangement. Any flower is welcome: store bought, backyard grown, or wild.

Each coach will also have a "mailbox" and items beyond flowers are welcome. Consider notes of appreciation, gift cards, baked goods or anything else you might wish to leave a coach as a thank you for their hard work and dedication.

Save the date: Holiday party will be December 12th at Shoup park.

From Coach Misa: See the attached picture. You can also find it on the back of our whiteboard. Lane etiquette makes for a more enjoyable swimming experience. She has embedded a secret code word. Everyone who emails the secret word to Misa will be entered to win a $20 gift card to Swim Outlet. Or email your answer to me and I will get send it to Misa. Good luck!

Quitting MVM: Just FYI. If for some reason you need to stop your membership at MVM all you have to do is stop your PayPal payments. We will see it on the back end. You no longer have to get in touch with the treasurer or anyone at MVM. We don’t want to see anyone go. This is just informational.

Happy Swimming, MVM
