Weekly Email – 11/10

Hi MVMers, here’s the latest.

Brute Squad Day: Brute Squad is this coming Sunday the 13th. No Sunday practice because of this event. Quick recap, the event will be held from 7-9am. Plan to show up around 6:45 to pull covers and get organized. Here are the details:
-No registration is involved. Just show up if you want to swim it.
-Their are two events to choose from:

The full Brute Squad is 200 fly, 400 IM, 1650 free. They must be swum in that order. You can rest on the wall as much as you like but your time will be from the beginning to the end. The clock does not stop during the rest.
Brute Squad Lite is 100 fly, 200 IM, 500 free. This is totally doable and is another option for anyone who does not want to slog out a 1650 free.
-You can decide which to swim up to the time you push off from the wall.
-Everyone will have a timer, so let them know which version you are doing.

-You will also be expected to time another swimmer, unless you bring your own timer.

-Coffee and food will be provided. Homemade baked goods are always welcome. So far I know we will have at least two people baking.
Email me if you have any questions. I’m looking forward to a fun event.

Holiday Party: More details coming. This is a ‘save the date’ announcement. Party will be held at Shoup Park on December 11th starting at 5pm

Pac Masters Annual Meeting: Meeting will be held this coming Sunday. Here’s the link if you want to zoom in: https://pacificmasters.org/content/2022-pacific-masters-celebration-and-meeting There are cash prizes to the team with the most members who attend by zoom. Last year MVM got money and we are hoping to repeat.

Happy Swimming, MVM
