Hi MVMers, news of the week:
February Fitness Challenge: The February Fitness Challenge starts tomorrow! For those who don’t know what it is, here’s the explanation: during the entire month of February you have a chance to accumulate points. You get a point for every 15 minutes you swim in a workout with a maximum of four points per workout. You also get a point for pulling covers and participating in USMS swim events. There will be cards in the office to keep track, which each swimmer fills out for themselves. Your points will turn into MVM bucks to be used at an auction we will hold in March. You can use your ‘money’ to buy items. The auction will be held at a venue to be determined and include a pizza dinner. If you’d like additional information ask any coach on deck.
Brute Squad: Thank you to everyone who swam the Brute Squad last year. Seven MVMers sent in their times and four of them were first in their age group. Congrats to Aaron Wood, Michael Thomas, Eric Wolff, and Coach Kate.
