Hello MVMers!

Last night’s Holiday Party: Many thanks for the wonderful Holiday Party last night! Thank you to the board for planning and putting it all together. Thank you Martha Branch for the great slide show. Thank you Adam Wilks for the trivia contest. Thank you to everyone who brought canned food for the food drive. Thank you to everyone who brought an appetizer, dessert, wine, or drinks. And thank you to everyone who attended. MVM totally rocks!

MVM Board: There have been some changes on the MVM board of directors. Thank you Marni Weinstock for stepping up to become our new board president. And many thanks to Ryder Booth who was our board president for at least two years and a board member for a couple of years before that, which is longer than most people serve. Thanks, again, for your dedication to MVM. On another note: the board is always looking for new people to serve. Let me know if you’d like to volunteer and I will pass you name along to Marni. Or contact a board member directly.

Christmas Holiday Hours: We will have holiday hours – 6am, 7am, 8am – Monday, Dec. 25 through Friday, Dec. 29th. Sleep in – if you consider getting up for a 6am workout as ‘sleeping in’.

MVM T-shirts and caps: If you ordered a t-shirt and want to pick it up, they will be at the pool during the last workouts on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you ordered a swim cap they will also be at the pool when the shirts are there. To pick up you cap you just need to show proof that you have registered with USMS for 2024.

USMS Registration: For those who haven’t registered for USMS yet, here’s the link: https://www.usms.org/join-usms/join-or-renew The deadline is December 31st at midnight. We have a list of everyone who registered with MVM. If you registered with another team, that’s OK, but please let me know so we can add you to the list. Starting January 1st you won’t be able to participate in workouts if you aren’t registered somewhere. It’s all about insurance liability. Thanks for your understanding.

Take care, stay warm, enjoy the holidays, and happy swimming! MVM
