Air Quality Policy from the City of Mountain View: As fire season approaches, please note the city’s policy on air quality.  Based on readings from  https://airnow.gov/, anything over 150 is considered unsafe for all populations and practices will be cancelled.  We hope this won’t have to happen but thank you in advance for understanding should our local air get smoky.

Fun Event – Movie Recommendation: Young Woman and the Sea. It is based on the true story of Trudy Ederle, who was the first woman to swim the English Channel in 1926. This movie is currently playing at the Cinemark in Redwood City. Check out the trailer:

Speaking of Open Water Events: Coach Flo’s Annual MVM Exclusive Open Water Swim will happen on September 28th. For the third year in a row, Coach Flo is organizing an open water swim in the San Francisco Bay. Saturday Workout Schedule: Quick reminder, until further notice we will only have two workouts on Saturdays – 6am and 7am. For the foreseeable future there will be no 8am workouts on Saturday.

Open Water Clinic this Saturday, June 29: Arrive at Coyote Point in San Mateo no later than 7:45am for an open water swim clinic with Coach Kate. It’s $6 per car to get in the park. Car pooling recommended. I have room for three people in my car. Reply to this email if you’d like a ride.

MVM Summer Picnic: Save the date. Picnic will be at Cuesta Park on Sunday, July 14th. Bring something for yourself to grill and something to share. MVM will provide water and soft drinks. Picnic starts around 11am and lasts until 2-3 in the afternoon. Come and go as you please. Kids welcome!
