Hello MVMers and Happy Cinco do Mayo! Here’s the news of the week:
Monday evening practice: Don’t forget that tonight is the first MVM evening practice! Hop in the pool if you didn’t get enough swimming this morning or if you missed practice. We’ll have practices every Monday evening this month from 6:45 to 7:45.
Holiday Hours: We will have holiday hours on Memorial Day, May 26. Practices will be at 6am, 7am, and 8am.
MVM Summer BBQ: Save the date for our annual summer BBQ/picnic, which will be Sunday July 13 at Cuesta Park. We’ll have the grill going if you want to put something on for yourself. MVM will supply soft drinks. Bring something to share. Bring friends, partners, spouses, or kids. Lot’s of room to run around for the little ones. We’re in a park!
Annual Meeting: We are happy to report that both the board of directors and the budget for 2025 have been approved. Thank you to everyone who voted. We’re looking at feedback and taking it into account as the board plans for the rest of the year. Thank you for your insights and opinions; they matter to us!
Staffing Changes: After 7 tremendously helpful years of service, our “Money Honey” Deanna Kang has stepped down as treasurer for MVM. We will miss her and appreciate everything she has done for the team. Taking over our bookkeeping duties will be Robert Finn. Welcome to the team, Rob! As always, any questions about dues can be directed to our team email account, treasurer.
