Board Meeting This Tuesday: Log in to hear about current issues and future plans for the club. The June board meeting is this coming Tuesday, June 9, at 6:30pm. Here’s the meeting agenda and here’s the meeting link (now on Google Meet! But here’s a Zoom backup in case we have any trouble on Google).
Happy Hour June 18th: Upcoming social event/happy hour will be at Das Bierhauz on Castro Street in downtown Mountain View on June 18th 5:30pm. Click here for more info about the venue. MVM will pay for appetizers. Hope to see you there.
Monday Evening Practice – time change! This coming Monday, June 8th, the evening practice will start at the usual time of 6:30. Starting June 15th the Monday evening practice will start at 7:30pm. The 7:30 start time is in effect until August 3rd.
Freestyle clinic with Coach Misa: This coming Saturday (tomorrow) there will be a freestyle fundamentals clinic at 7am in the small pool. Free to all MVM members. No sign up. Just hop in the pool if you are interested. Note: there is a beginner breaststroke clinic the following Saturday, June 13th. We’ll update you with the time.
Summer picnic – save the date: Our annual summer picnic will be Sunday, July 12th, at Cuesta Park in our usual bbq area. Start time around 11am-ish. We’ll have a grill going. Bring something to put on the barbie (if you want) and a dish to share. MVM will provide some soft drinks and water. This is a very kid-friendly venue. Drop in any time. Picnic usually goes to ~3pm.
MVM Alcatraz Swim 2026: Since 2022, MVM has been making a splash with our annual open water swim — and this year, we’re tackling the legendary Alcatraz to Aquatic Park swim, and we want YOU there! Open to MVM swimmers, friends, and family, this Bay Area bucket-list adventure is one you won’t want to miss. Got questions? Catch a coach on deck — they’ll hook you up with everything you need to know.

Congratulations to the Splash and Dashers! MVM was a force at the Splash and Dash last night! The water was fabulous and the event was super fun. If you missed it, look for upcoming Splash and Dash events. Congrats to Lou Dietz, Dave Finlay, Lani Takano, Courtney Hutchinson, and Mila Abreu. Special congrats to Lou and Lani for their first time participating in an open water swim. Nice job!!!
